What is Diabetes?
Diabetes is a metabolic disorder with high blood glucose level. Based on blood glucose levels, a person's condition is classified as normal, prediabetic and diabetic. There are two major types of diabetes, Type 1 and Type 2, and 95% are type 2.

Blood glucose is mostly regulated by pancreas and liver. However, Kidney, fat cells, muscle, intestine, and brain are also involved in blood glucose regulation.

  • Insulin secretion
  • Insulin action
  • Glucose release by liver
